ECMA 2017 Winners!

We are honoured to be the 2017 ECMA Winners for Blues Recording of the Year! We had an incredible time in Saint John, and can't wait for next year, but I think a great big thank you is in order for now:

Well folks, to say that this is an honour for us would be an understatement. To stand here today in beautiful Saint John, NB with this award in our hands represents an incredible validation for the months of hard work, late nights, highway trips and caffiene driven recording sessions. But we'd still just be a group of clueless fools making a racket in our basement if it wasn't for the small army of people who've helped us make it here today.

We'd like to thank our families first and foremost, for your selfless, shameless and neverending committment to seeing our dream become a reality. Sometimes it's hard to believe we have such amazing and patient people in our lives, but we're eternally grateful for each and every one of you and we're so proud to say you're our own. This is as much an accomplishment for you as it is for us.

We'd like to extend a special thanks to our producer, Chris Kirby, who's knowledge and talent contributed so much to moulding and shaping the album into something we're so feverishly proud to call our own. We truly appreciate your understanding and willingness to work around our crazy schedules and sometimes borderline crazy personalities, where others probably would have given up and walked away.

We'd like to thank Mike Kirby and Groove Den Recording Studio, Scott Hammond and The Blue Room (Professional Audio Mixing), and J. Lapointe and Archive Mastering for making us sound so incredible. Your professional dedication and skillsets are second to none.

Special thanks to Michelle Robertson for your guidance and all you've done for us over the last couple of years.

Thanks to our guest performers, Kelly Hoppe, Emilia Bartellas, Chris Harnett, Terry Campbell, Leanne Kean, Victoria Howse, Jordan Flight and Aaron Bolt, you guys rock!

Thanks to MusicNL and City of St. John's for funding our project. Special thanks to MusicNL for your continued support and for everything you do for the NL music scene, you're all rockstars and the finest kind of people.

Thanks to the East Coast Music Association (ECMA) and the City of Saint John, NB for putting off an incredible weekend. We're having the time of our lives. Thanks to the 300 volunteers who are making this event a reality, your willingness to contribute so much of your own time and energy is truly admirable. None of this would be possible without you!

There's been so many people who've supported us over the last 9 years, it's difficult to even know where to start. The venues who've taken chances on us, Club 68 in Norman's Cove/Long Cove, Terry Gulliver, the Fat Cat Blues Bar and the Black Sheep in St. John's. The fine folks in the NL media, Jason LaCour and Greg Smith at Steele Communications, Heather Barrett and Melissa Tobin at CBC Radio, Tara Thompson, Erin Sulley at RogersTV and Dillon Collins at the Herald. Chris Abbott for your help and loving support.

Finally, we want to thank our fans, friends, anyone who took the time to come to a show, check out our album, or showed us some love on social media. Getting to see you all enjoy our music, meeting so many fantastic people and the feeling that we've made something that resonates with other people is the reason we do all of this. We look forward to all the friends out there we've yet to meet, the places we've yet to see and the good times yet to come.

We wish you all the most sincere gratitude, and all the love and respect the world has to offer.

Greg, Michael and Jonathon
